1st car BMW e36 325i automatic PROBLEMS!!!!?

my Onboard computer turns on for 3secs then cuts off and strange clicking noise from engine or once wheel turns what could this be ive been looking up forums yet all say different things im scared to drive my car because there's a possibility if it is the alternator it could just cut off at anytime windows also roll down whenever they feel like it help please asap
