The 2 tires that split have a signifcant amount of tread left, and were just replaced in july of 06. yesterday i all of a sudden noticed that when i would accelerate, my steering wheel would jerk from side to side. the tire place said they would replace them for free if it really was faulty tires, but im afraid it might be caused by my alignment, I drive down roads with potholes on them too fast all the time. What do you guys think?

Sounds like faulty tires to me. It has happened to me. I doubt you are driving bad enough to cause them to split. That would be some 'hellacious' driving girl. Also, I sure would not tell the tire place about potholes and driving too fast, they may try to say it is all your fault just so they don't have to replace the tires. It's the tires, not you. Go with a different brand or a higher priced tire this this time.
