what is wrong with my brake lights? 1999 Dodge Ram 1500

1999 dodge ram 1500 ext the running lights work the turn signals work but no brakes lights work with or with out the lights on.

The brakes use the same filaments as the turn signals, so the bulbs, socket and wiring are OK. It's probably the brake switch behind the pedal.
