I have been advised that GMC has instructed U.S. dealers not to sell to Canadians. I have also been told that the manufacturer's warranty may not be honored. Does anyone have any first hand experience or knowledge of whether this advise is accurate?

I don't know why but new vehicles are sold in U.S. way cheaper than in Canada.I also heard that they are trying to outlaw Canadians from importing American cars. I am going to buy a truck in the US but it is 10 years old . Older vehicles are duty exempt but must meet Canadian D.O.T standards in order to be registered here. eg; daytime running lights must be installed.
