What could cause a 2000 Cadillac Deville to keep shutting off randomly when...

...coming to a stop? I have a 2000 Deville Base model with N* engine. The car randomly shuts off when coming to a complete or close to complete stop.

The Engine light comes on sometimes (like 1/2 the time) it shuts off, but disappears within the next 24 hours after a couple of wide open throttle runs through the highway.

I checked the engine oil, which is in normal range (check after 15 mins the car has been shutt off, but engine is still hot). The air filter is good. And I use only premium gas with Techron additived every 6000-7000 miles (right before I do oil changes).

Any suggestions? Also, sources if you have them. Thanks in advance!

Scan GM's service bulletin titles to see which are relevant to your problem and bring the bulletin to your dealer for any warranty work that is due.
