I have a 1999 Cadillac catera and i need Help!

I have a 1999 Cadillac catera And theres is something weird with the heater and the air conditioner, when I want to put the heater on only the passenger gets worm air and the side of the driver it's cold air so it's half cold and half worm why is this?

Sounds like someone needs to get behind the dash and check for functionality of the vent directional controls.
