How do I disable my automatic headlights?

I have a 2001 corolla, and the automatic headlights are always on. Is there any way I can go manual?

I think there is no other way to turn the automatic headlights off except to shut the engine off.

On some cars like the foxbody Mustang you can disable the daytime running lights by disconnecting the wiring from the switch. Think you should be able to do the same with your Corolla. Its worth a try.

its probably not built in, i suggest send to yr mechanic to figure out new wiring to get this fixed. it isnt rocket science, they can do it for cheap.

I found a DIY which can guide you on how to turn off daytime headlights at lightsout.org. It's for a 2009 model but perhaps the toyota corolla parts in both years are generally similar so that could eventually help you out.
