I was reading on the internet about the small block v8 and according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Small-Block_engine it says that in 1987 the valve cover bolts were changed from running around the perimeter to running down the centerline of the valve covers. Okay this is where i get confused i bought a 350 back in may and ran the numbers on the block and it came back as being a 94 gm crate motor made in mexico. It has the four bolts around the perimeter of the valve covers, does this mean the heads on this motor are older than 87?
