Each car probably has it's own code. My Benz has a specific one.

You can get it from the dealer, but you'll probably have to go to where you bought it from. If you bought it used, go back to the original owner.

If you stole it, then you're a loser for stealing a stock radio.

After your add'l notes, ya, it's a random code. Someone with the same car is going to have a different code. You need to call the dealer, or Chevy direct. You'll need to provide some sort of ID to say the car is yours.

If you put in the wrong code, it's going to make you wait until it resets to put another code in.
