I'm gonna go tomorrow to put true duals on it, no cat and and muffler. I want to run duals out the back and I'm wondering if I should just run the original 2 inch pipe straight out or should I put 4 inch tips on it? Which one is louder and what is the difference in the sound?
It is a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 |

NO 4" .. do not put diesel pipes on a what 1/2 ton maybe 3/4 idk.....you will lose a lot of horsepower.... here is what it is ---the bigger the pipe the deeper and louder the sound, but you lose power---the smaller the pipe the quieter the sound and more horepower.... i have a 350 5.7L in a chevy c10, with 3 in duals with flowmaster super40's it sound like a beast and i also have hi-flow cats also i would not go bigger than 3" but 2 1/2 would be the best honestly
