Hey guys, I have finally passed the 10k mark on my car. I've been using the regular oil during oil change and I'm thinking of making my move into the synthetic world for the first time. Do you guys think its a good idea to make the change? And is there any real difference between the two?
I'm just worried about my MPG. But it seems like everybody's having the same issue. Also wondering if that'll be affected for the better if I make the change to synthetic. |

Synthetic is superior in terms of tensile strength, it doesn't completely drain off the engine parts, and it has superior lubricity. You stick your finger in synthetic and another in conventional and you can feel the difference. I swear by synthetic and won't use conventional except in a new engine until the rings seat properly. At 10000 miles, you can switch without a problem.
