I have a 1993 Ford Taurus, 3.0 v6. On a normal day the car will start after cranking only 2 or 3 seconds first thing in the morning. But if there is dampness in the air, I have to crank it a dozen times or more for 10 - 15 seconds before it will start. It acts like it is flooded, but I have not given it any gas. It spits and sputters and finally starts.
This only happens after sitting all night. Once it is started I never have any more issues with it all day, even if it is raining or snowing, it will start with one crank. |
