Hey, we may be onto something.
Using pressure treated wood instead of fiberglass and urethane could be the lo-tech answer. Sort of like Howard Hughes building giant airplanes from plywood. Down in Florida the termites eat the houses so bad they say you can actually hear them munching down. Lots of laws requiring the use of treated materials anywhere near the ground... I can see our ad campaign now. It could work like the Global Warming scare. "You love your car, don't you? I bet the guys who sold you those lowering springs never even MENTIONED the dangers invovled, did they? OR the laws about building codes for structures closer than 12 inches to the ground? Well, did you know that mutant termites have been known to EAT body panels and ground effects items made from flimsy fiberglass or cheap urethane? Thanks to the folks at "Yellawood Performance", those days are history! We warrant our air dams, wings and side skirts to resist termite attack for a minimum of 30 years! No longer must the automobile enthusiast worry about the attack of millions of ravenous insects!" (This message meets the newest Federal, State and Local building codes in areas where termite control certification is required). .....Yep, we'll all be zillionaires.
