I Bought a used 2001 Toyota Camry under the impression that it gives good gas mileage (about 24 mpg in city and 28 mpg on highways). However, I'm shocked to note that my camry gives about 17mpg in city. Does anyone know the cause and / or how to get this fixed.

The first thing I gotta ask is when was the car last tuned up? That can make all the difference when it comes to gas mileage.
