My advice is to start with the factory's (manufacturer's) standard vehicle configuration (unmodified). Then drive to an auto store or battery center that does battery and charging system checks for free. That makes sure that your (new) battery is good and that your alternator is charging properly. You can check to make sure there aren't any excessive "parasitic" current draws (amperes) from your battery that discharge it when the vehicle's parked. You say "it will not start again". Does that mean the engine won't crank (run the starter motor normally) or that the engine cranks ok, but won't fire the cylinders, start the engine and run normally?
