Default How to fix a stuck (disengaged) Jeep Cherokee Clutch?

My buddy rolled over to my place today saying that on the way here, while he was driving he heard a loud noise and then suddenly the clutch on his '94 Cherokee Sport wouldn't engage. It simply doesn't push in at all. We're poor and know nothing about cars, and I'd really appriciate any help in avoiding being that guy with a broken jeep sitting in the driveway.

Check the clutch fluid -- I do believe that model Jeep has a Hydraulic clutch.

Another thing to check would be if something has blocked the clutch arm from moving. Get under the truck WITH THE ENGINE OFF while your friend sits in the drivers seat and slowly pushes and releases the pedal -- look for something trying to move.

THat's a start.
