Default My jeep wrangler cuts off after I've filled it with gas. Could it be the fuel filter?

This has occurred six times in the past month. It always started up again. Yesterday I was driving fine and it stopped. I cranked it several times and it wouldn't start. Had it towed, at the mechanics' it started up immediately. The mechanics told me it might be the crank sensor but they're not sure.
