Default How Many Km/Miles do you have on your Chevy Pickup. My 1993 5.7L z71 4x4 has...

...387,000km? It uses maybe half a litre at very most between oil changes and most of the time doesn't at all....I can just go 5000km to 5000km without worrying about the oil being down.

Whats ur truck & how many miles/km on it.

It's not mine but dads work truck is a 96 2500 5.7l has 205,000 miles on it (nearly 330,000 km). It doesn't use much of any oil either. His last truck, which was also a chevrolet 2500, went over 280,000 miles before he sold it. I'm sure it went over 300,000 miles with the next owner. he did have to put an engine on that one because he overheated it around 220,000 and it started using oil.

I don't have a truck yet, but I recently started selling Chevrolet. I think they are awesome, and the "competition" is actually lagging FAR behind them. Chevys last MUCH longer, have better safety records, have less recalls, and Chevy now offers the very BEST warranty in the industry. I hear customers all the time saying how their last Chevy truck went 250,000 miles without any major problems; only rarely do I hear otherwise, and that alone tells me that Chevy's doing something right, something those "other guys" haven't yet figured out (and probably never will figure out, LOL).

Incidentally, my uncle swears by Ford F-350's for his landscaping business and his bison ranch; but I have yet to see him rack anywhere NEAR the mileage a Chevy can take. I don't know why he keeps going back. LOL

I know those with both Ford and Chevy and they beat on them everyday. As far as I know, none of them use oil and all except one has well over 100000 miles. The one exception just got saved from the crusher, and got a new engine.
