What years was the LS1 motor in the Pontiac Trans Ams? and was this the fastest manufacturer motor put into them? and at its peak how much HP?

in trans ams firebirds and camaros it was offered from 1998-2002 but it was first available in a car in 1997 with the first model C5 corvette they were used in cars untill 2004 when the GTO and the corvette switched to the LS2 in 2005

98 to 02 No I think the 455 Super Duty would give than a good run.
