Not really, but designs with all wheel drives have been successful for many years. What proves a design successful is winning, plain and simple.
FWD cars are able to corner at much faster rates of speed because there will always be at least one driving wheel on the road surface. And with the combination of smaller cars, powerful engines make those cars the best for rally conditions. Remember, rally rules means that the cars have to basically be productions models and be street legal. |
