Obama is definitely a great candidate yet there can only be one democratic candidate in the end...

LOL, Now thats funny and I have to agree. Trying to pick the best from this bunch is gonna be tough. I am leaning towards Hillary but I doubt if she will be the democratic candiidate.

Default In It To Win It

It was Billary's election to lose, and it looks like they did.

This SHOULD be a cakewalk for the Democrats - they have a long list of advantages, not least of which being able to run anti-bush and anti-iraq. Obama, however, reminds me of Kerry - just more-so. Kerry was very liberal and offered a leftist list of voter-bribes. Obama is doing the same, but from a further left position (he has truly earned his "most-liberal-senator" rating).

As a Libertarian, I find little to recommend on either side. I'm really glad to be able to honestly say "A pox on both their houses".

Those uneasy with Obama are likely to drift toward McCain...

Both parties are going to experience problems energizing and controlling their base. McCain has alienated the hard right Republicans (10-20% will just stay home) while Billary's hard-line supporters are likely to do the same (and represent 10-20% of the Democratic core) as well.

Had Obama played the game a little smarter with issues like his links to Wright and the various bombers, he'd be in the catbird seat, though.

I think he wins by a nose, but no mandate, and his coattails for other democrats will be short indeed.

All I can say is I have more money in my pocket when a democrat is in. Not saying that's the best choice this year but that's my history.

Me too, but I'm not party specific. I go on who's better for the job so that's the question. Gas chamber or electric chair? Hmmm...

My vote is on McKain now. He's willing to drill in the US, and if we don't soon, we're going to go into another depression.
