Is it safe to bury batteries (car, boat, home electronics) in my back yard?

No, they are toxic, you can take car batteries to any garage and they will take them!

why did you bury them? did they die!! HAHAHAHA!!!
No it shouldn't be a problem if you bury deep enough.(just an inch or two.) Next time just throw them out.
